As a former YMCA
day camp counselor, cub scout den and pack leader and a certified
art teacher, my love for teaching young children continues...
In the works is a youth summer overnight camp designed to share
my appreciation of the woods, wildlife and art with young children.

I became a Registered Maine Guide in
2003

A young bull moose I photographed not far
from my home. You can see his little "button" antlers
just starting to grow.

My art talents were encouraged
as early as first grade, where I lived with my family in New
Jersey. Relocating to Massachusetts when I was 12, I graduated
from Framingham State College with a B.A. in Fine Art and Education,
and immediately became involved with Graphic Design. After a
lengthy freelance career while raising my son Adam, I became
the Art Director for a New England music retail chain. Feeling
creatively unchallenged, I quit my "office" job, sold
our home of 25 years in Massachusetts, and moved with my husband
Lance to our solar-powered log cabin on a Western Maine mountaintop
in Andover, two miles off the pavement. Here, I could focus on
my art. Surrounded by everything I cherished and able to think
clearly about my future, I soon discovered a perfect subject
matter and medium: wildlife paintings and drawings on unusual
natural materials found during my daily treks into the woods.
With wildlife scenes on shelf fungus and moose antler sheds my
focus, I am continually experimenting with other ways to creatively
"recycle" the beautiful by-products of nature I find
into my artwork. Becoming active in the fine art & craft
show circuit of the Northeast, I am gradually presenting my art
in galleries and high-end gift shops in Northern New England
resort areas.
